Visa and Entry Requirements for International Attendees
All international attendees of AOTA 2027 in Seoul must hold a valid passport and, if required, obtain an entry visa before arriving in South Korea. While some countries are eligible for visa-free entry, we strongly recommend that all participants check the visa requirements for their nationality in advance.

K-ETA is an electronic travel authorization that visa-free foreign visitors need to obtain before entering the Republic of Korea, by submitting relevant information online such as their travel information.
Starting 1st September 2021, K-ETA is Mandatory for all foreigners entering Korea from visa waiver countries and visa-free countries. All foreigners without either a K-ETA or a valid Visa will not be permitted to board a plane to Korea.
The K-ETA approval may take 72 hours or more, depending on the number of applications received and the circumstances of the applicant. Therefore, make sure to complete the application for K-ETA 72 hours before boarding by aircraft.
If you hold a passport from one of the countries listed below, youare eligible to apply for a K-ETA to enter the Republic of Korea.

If you have a visa, you do not need to apply for K-ETA. K-ETA is mandatory only if you do not have a visa.
