It is a great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 15th Asia Oceania Thyroid Association (AOTA) Congress in Seoul.

For many years, AOTA has brought together thyroid specialists across Asia and Oceania, providing a unique platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging perspectives, and building collaboration across countries and disciplines. Although we work in diverse healthcare systems and academic environments, we share a common commitment to advancing the understanding and care of thyroid diseases. I believe this diversity is one of AOTA’s greatest strengths.

Thyroidology is inherently multidisciplinary. As diagnosis becomes increasingly sophisticated and therapeutic paradigms continue to evolve, meaningful progress requires more than expertise within individual disciplines. True multidisciplinary collaboration begins with understanding one another’s perspectives, language, and clinical reasoning. By connecting these different perspectives, we can advance both research and patient care. This spirit of collaboration is at the heart of our congress theme, Thyroidology in Harmony: Seoul 2027.

I hope the 15th AOTA Congress will provide an opportunity for colleagues from different countries, disciplines, and generations to learn from one another and to form new academic connections.
